FIESTA 2020: Leaping into Our Future

FIESTA (Friends In Earnest Supporting Tuition Assistance) is Mercy’s annual dinner auction. FIESTA plays a very important role in Mercy’s ongoing commitment to empower young women to achieve their full potential in a diverse, supportive and academic-centered community. The monies raised during FIESTA are a key component in our ability to continue our long-standing Negotiated Tuition Program, respecting each family’s unique needs and income. Eighty-two percent of our families benefit annually when $1.8 million in tuition assistance is granted.
FIESTA is an exciting, fun-filled evening complete with a gourmet dinner, raffle and live and silent auctions. Many people put forth a tremendous effort to make the night possible including the Mercy students and staff, the committee chairs and hundreds of volunteers who generously give their time, talent and resources.
This year's Cor Misericordiae Award, the school's highest honor, will be given to Sr. Johanna Burnell, RSM. Sr. Johanna was president of Mercy High School from 1988-2009 and will celebrate her 60th jubilee as a Sister of Mercy in 2020. This theme incorporates the Mercy Brand, “Faith in Her Future”; the Mercy Mission of empowering young women to achieve their full potential in a diverse, supportive and academically centered community; the qualities of a woman of Mercy: strength, compassion, and they know how to get things done; and Leap Day, the date of this year’s FIESTA, February 29, 2020!

Ticket Prices: Alumnae and Current Parents: $100 ($30 tax-deductible)
Young Alumnae (graduated between 2000-2019): $75
Regular: $150 ($80 tax-deductible)
