FIESTA

Mercy High School is filled with royalty and we'll be highlighting several of them this year at FIESTA. First and foremost, our exceptional students who are being guided through a rigorous faith-based education, and our faculty that guide them fill up a vast majority of our coffers.  This year, we are honored to celebrate Sr. Delores Hannon, who will receive the prestigious Cor Misericordiae Award. Sr. Delores served as Mercy High School’s President for an impressive 14 years, during which she demonstrated extraordinary leadership and unwavering dedication to our mission. Her visionary guidance led the school through significant building renovations, enhancing our facilities to better serve students and staff alike. Sr. Delores’s steadfast commitment to the values of Mercy and her profound care for every student who walked through our doors embody the spirit of this award. Her legacy of compassion, excellence, and community deserves to be celebrated, and we look forward to honoring her at FIESTA.

FIESTA History

The annual fundraiser to benefit the Negotiated Tuition Program actually began as a Twelfth Night Ball in 1985. It received a new name in 1991, when the event was renamed FIESTA (Friends In Earnest Supporting Tuition Assistance).
Another tradition is bestowing, when appropriate, Mercy High School’s highest honor, The Cor Misericordiae (Heart of Mercy) Award.  This honor was established to recognize and bless the school’s partners in ministry who espouse Mercy’s mission of the careful instruction of young women.  You can find a complete list of these honorees below.
