Abriendo Puertas celebrates students’ Hispanic/Latino heritage with an emphasis on promoting cultural awareness to our students, providing leadership opportunities, and serving and connecting with the broader Hispanic community in Omaha.

A group of students who are interested in art and want to make some cool projects. You do not have to be enrolled in an art class to be in art club. Art club is not a replacement for art class, very little technique will be taught by Mrs. Langenfeld. Projects, for the most part, are student led.

BSLC is an organization for high school-age youth of Black/African descent. Our mission is to cultivate character and develop leadership by providing internships and experiences where our youth can create, organize and host culturally relevant projects and events.

We love reading popular books, following authors, watching Book-to-Screen adaptations and playing games about books!

Class officers are elected by their peers to represent their class. They work closely with student council during Spirit Week, leading their class in hallway decorating, the dance competition, and Nocturne decorating. They recognize birthdays during lunch and act as a sounding board for their class. They may have other responsibilities assisting with other Mercy traditions depending on their grade level.

The Future Business Leaders of America brings business and education together through leadership development programs.

The Golden Girls pep club supports Monarch Athletics through our enthusiasm and school spirit at athletic events!

The student IDEA Committee is a group of 11-12th grade students who work in conjunction with the Staff IDEA Committee to address issues of Inclusion, Diversity, and Equity within Mercy High School. Students and Staff meet regularly for listening sessions to give their opinions, voice their concerns, set growth and improvement goals and work to create school-wide initiatives related to areas of Inclusion, Equity and Diversity.

We practice for upcoming masses and lead the other students in song.

Unleash your passion for math and join us in exploring the exciting world of numbers, puzzles and problem-solving. We offer engaging puzzles and brain teasers; fascinating explorations of math concepts; friendly competitions and games; and opportunities for service through tutoring in the ASC. We meet on the first Thursday of the month in Ms. Gonderinger’s room (204). Be there or be square (because you won’t be a-round)!

Monarchs for Life is a group that advocates for the protection and dignity of all human life, from conception to natural death. We work to raise awareness and respect for all life with fundraisers, service, education and discussion.

National Honor Society is committed to the values of scholarship, leadership, character and service. Juniors and seniors are invited to apply in the fall if they meet the minimum GPA requirement. Members will be involved in school and community service projects throughout the year.

Open Wings is a welcoming and hospitable space for all students at Mercy. It is a club for any student of any background to come together in a safe and supportive environment.

City-wide collaboration of area Catholic high schools working to raise funds and awareness around food insecurity. Operation Others holds an annual food drive and works to collect and deliver food items during the holiday season to more than 1500 families in the Omaha area.

Pastoral Council is a group of dedicated women who work to plan Masses, Prayer Services, morning prayer, and much more! We have a lot of fun working and serving together.

Student council is a club with 3 purposes. We focus on raising school spirit, raising money for the school mission and being a liaison between students and administration.
