2017-2018 Annual Report
At a Glance: Message from the President
This past year has been one for Mercy’s storied history as we completed a major HVAC overhaul, increased recruitment efforts which yielded one of the largest freshman classes in recent history, redesigned and dedicated two science labs, and hired new personnel in the areas of college counseling, ESL, and advancement. And in this short time, these new hires coupled with our experienced and outstanding faculty and staff have moved the needle in a positive direction. When it comes to the annual operating costs for Mercy, we depend on the support of our donors to fund initiatives such as the Annual Fund, FIESTA, GolfFest, and our Negotiated Tuition Program to cover the gap between tuition and the true cost of a Mercy education. These initiatives last year provided $1.8 million in much-needed financial support to over 82 percent of our students. The momentum in and around the halls at Mercy High School is palpable and we thank you, our alumnae, friends, family, and donors for your continued support of your time, talent and treasure. Without you, we would not be able to live out our mission of providing academic excellence and inspiring young girls to become confident women of Mercy who embody faith, knowledge and compassionate service.
Thank you for all that you do and God bless!
