Prayer for the Beatification of Catherine McAuley

Loving God, you chose Catherine McAuley for the service of your people who are poor, sick and uneducated. You inspired her to found the Sisters of Mercy that these good works might endure. Give to each of us a portion of her compassionate spirit and ardent desire to serve your suffering people.

Bless all our undertakings and grant that union and charity may always thrive among us. Graciously hear our prayer for Catherine, and by granting the favors we ask through her intercession, hasten the day when her sanctity will be celebrated by all the church. Amen.

School Updates

Prom Announcement

On January 10, the Juniors surprised the entire school with their PA performance of "Clue." In addition to solving a mysterious murder, the performers shared important Prom details! It will be held on April 23, 2022, at 1316 Jones in the Old Market. The theme is “The Final Clue,” and the colors are scarlet, plumb, and cream. A night of mystery and fun awaits!

New Lockers & Renovations

Over Christmas break, the elves were busy installing new lockers, flooring, and lighting throughout the building.

We are also excited to announce a series of major renovations taking place over the upcoming summer. Barring any unforeseen supply chain issues, we plan to update the front office, the west entrance, and the hallways. Additionally, we are going to expand the weight room and create a Spirit Wear Store on the main floor of the building.

All of these updates have been made possible by the generosity of our Mercy community. You are always welcome to come up to school to take a tour!

Mercy is hosting a Career Day on March 21 as part of Kaleidoscope, a program that teaches leadership, life skills, and wellness. If you are interested in joining us to speak with students about your career and professional life, please email Roz Parr '09 (parrr@mercyhigh.org)

FIESTA 2022: Miracle on 48th Street

On February 19, 2022, we will celebrate the miracles that take place at Mercy.

From the quality, faith-based education that students enjoy every day to the Mercy traditions that have lasted through generations of Monarchs, Mercy has been blessed. Included in those miracles are the students we have been privileged to educate, the teachers we have been honored to employ, and the supportive community we have been blessed to know.

Join us for FIESTA 2022 as we celebrate the miracle that is Mercy High School.

Bidding opens on February 14, but there are several fixed-price items open for purchase, as well as a special package to "Make FIESTA Last All Weekend" that includes a stay at the Marriott Downtown and tickets to the February 20 Creighton Men's Basketball game.
