Faith
Sponsored by the Sisters of Mercy, our school’s mission is deeply rooted in faith-centered education that goes beyond academics. At Mercy, students are immersed in a nurturing environment that instills the values of community, compassion, and a meaningful relationship with God. Through our unique approach, we inspire students to not only grow in their faith but also live it out in their daily lives, preparing them to be ethical, empathetic, and empowered individuals in the world.
The beliefs, values, and teachings of the Catholic Church are seamlessly integrated into every aspect of the Mercy experience. Whether it’s through classroom discussions, all-school liturgies, spiritual retreats, or acts of service, students are encouraged to explore and strengthen their faith while reflecting on how they can make a positive impact in their communities. Daily student life at Mercy is marked by opportunities for prayer, reflection, and connection, fostering a deeper understanding of what it means to live a life of purpose guided by faith.
Our SUSCIPE program (Sustaining Us Spiritually as Community in Prayer & Eucharist) offers monthly opportunities for students to engage with their spirituality. These events provide a space for students to learn about diverse aspects of faith, ask questions, and explore their personal beliefs in an open and supportive environment. From prayer services to Eucharistic adoration and dynamic faith-based discussions, our SUSCIPE events encourage spiritual growth while promoting a sense of belonging.
By the time they graduate, Mercy students have had countless opportunities to deepen their understanding of faith and develop a compassionate worldview. They leave Mercy with a stronger sense of self, a solid foundation in their Catholic identity, and the confidence to share their faith and values in whatever path they choose.
