Admissions Process

During your education at Mercy High School, you will form lasting friendships and lifelong memories. Students from all over Omaha and surrounding areas will become your Mercy classmates, with each girl bringing her unique talents, skills and background to our learning environment. The traditions and values that you will find at Mercy, will be ones you will treasure throughout your future.

At Mercy, we only have one admissions requirement: applicants must have a real desire to be a “Mercy girl.” To determine that, the following steps must be completed to secure admission*:

1. Spend a day visiting or “shadowing” in either your 7th or 8th grade year
2. Take the Scholarship & Placement Exam at Mercy High School on January 12, 2013
3. Write an essay stating your reasons for wanting to attend Mercy
4. Go through a one-on-one interview with a member of the administrative team on January 21, 2013
   *You will be informed of our decision regarding your acceptance by the middle of February.

A limited number of students will be admitted each year. It is highly recommended that students fulfill their shadow requirement as early as possible, thus further indicating their desire to attend Mercy. In the event that the class fills to capacity, students will be admitted on a first-come, first-served basis according to when interest in attending Mercy was first demonstrated.
